TRACK WORKS

ETF designs, builds, modernises and maintains national, urban, private and port rail networks.

An organisation as close as possible to the regions

A network of local agencies manages maintenance contracts on a day-to-day basis. They are responsible for regularly planning and carrying out maintenance work on the national rail networks, as well as urban, private and port rail networks. ETF deploys skilled teams to manage various types of worksite. These are complex operations requiring high technical skills and solid expertise.

These major track projects (such as the replacement of switches, ballast or sections of track) always include a phase of preparatory work, main work and finishing work. To implement these different phases, ETF is organised around several major missions: technical studies and methods, planning, renewal works and maintenance.

“Suites Rapides”, high-performance regeneration

ETF is present in the “Suites Rapides” market thanks to these rolling factory trains which regenerate track at industrial rates. These markets are part of the modernisation plan of our customer, SNCF Réseau.

Since 2015, ETF has been running the “Suites Rapides” service in dense areas on the Ile-de-France network and, since 2018, on the national network. Building on these successes, ETF is continuing its work with two new markets. The RRI (Renouvellement de Rail Industrialisé) contract, started in 2024, will see the renewal of 675 kilometres of rail in 5 years. The RGI, won in 2024, will involve the regeneration of 800 kilometres of track between now and 2030.

ETF, system integrator

Faced with the challenges posed by changes in society and the climate, cities are reinventing themselves and turning to rail mobility. Having participated in the construction of the LGV Est-Européenne and SEA (Sud Europe Atlantique) high-speed lines, our teams are now actively involved in the construction of new urban rail networks.

ETF has positioned itself as a true systems integrator, providing its customers with all its organisational and innovation capabilities in synergy with other VINCI Group entities.
