RAILWAY SAFETY
Through its dedicated Feroway® brand, ETF designs complete rail safety systems, from work preparation, through equipment routing, to worksite safety. The aim: to protect the lives of those who work on the tracks, those who travel on the trains and those who live near the worksites.
Railway safety at Feroway® involves more than 300 employees. Using a variety of skills, these experts in prevention, health and safety are tasked with helping their customers to complete their rail projects safely and efficiently.
This optimum safety is guaranteed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year across the entire rail network. Set up around a Safety HQ, the services in charge of railway safety plan worksite operations and safety services, while ensuring real-time monitoring.
Versatility as expertise
Because safety on worksites is an absolute priority, Feroway is committed to the “zero accident” objective.
Through specific training courses, our teams help our employees to become multi-skilled in order to meet SNCF Réseau’s needs. Specialised experts are dedicated to training and accrediting the safety officers who work on the various sites. Based on a multi-skill, multi-training offer, ETF proposes, through its dedicated Feroway® brand, to broaden or consolidate their skills.
Whether it’s driving work trains, routing equipment, securing worksites, managing back-up bases, electrical protection, training for worksites and Essential Safety Tasks (ESTs), or even command posts, the rail safety professions are key positions, essential to the smooth running of worksites.
Transparent communication
In order to set an example, the rail safety department ensures real-time, responsive and reliable operational monitoring of all activities linked to worksite operations, as well as routing. In the event of an incident, hazard or modification, this service is responsible for processing the information and passing it on to the rest of the work teams deployed throughout the territory.
ETF and Feroway® place particular emphasis on a culture of health and safety prevention, which every manager is trained in. It is based on each employee’s perfect knowledge and mastery of the risks inherent in railway activities. This culture is then passed on to the men and women in the field.
Through these commitments, ETF employees help to ensure that complex, high-performance projects are carried out under optimum safety conditions.
