ETF is working to make stations in the Centre region more accessible
ETF is actively involved in modernising stations to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility (PRM). The aim of this work is to make the infrastructure more inclusive, with platforms raised for better access to trains.
At Bourges, the accessibility works were completed in September 2021. The work raised 560 metres of platform, making it easier for all users to access the trains.
At Blois Chambord, the work was carried out in two phases. The first phase, on the central platform, was completed in 2023, and work will continue on the platform on the passenger building side (A) in the first half of 2024. Night work and ‘one-off’ operations have been put in place to limit disruption to passengers and local residents.
ETF is currently working at Chartres station. In collaboration with SNCF Gares Connexions, the teams are carrying out the work at night and in one-off operations to avoid disrupting passenger traffic.
