ETF completes preparatory work for future Bry-Villiers-Champigny station

As part of the preparatory work for the future Bry-Villiers-Champigny (BVC) station, ETF teams have carried out a series of operations to reroute the signalling, telecoms and energy networks. This work, which began in August 2022, is part of the project to extend the RER E line, which involves adding a third track between Villiers-sur-Marne and Emerainville – Pontault-Combault (77), with service scheduled to begin in 2030.

The planned station, scheduled to open in 2027, is a key element in the development of Greater Paris. This multimodal hub will increase transport capacity in the east of the Ile-de-France region and improve the fluidity of the RER E. ETF has contributed to this from the very first phase, by relocating the networks that were located at the site of the future third track.

Throughout the project, ETF carried out five operations simultaneously, each involving a dozen employees. These operations, as well as night-time interventions, made it possible to lay ducts under the existing tracks in order to ensure the smooth running of future stages. Each night, the teams had to work in a hurry to allow traffic to resume during the day and minimise the impact on passengers.
